The Vital Role of Board Engagement in Nonprofit Performance
In partnership with Idaho Nonprofit Center & Nonprofit Association of Oregon
April 23, 2014 • 9:30-10:30am
High performing nonprofits all have one thing in common: effective and active board engagement. The final part of the series highlights the role of governance in a nonprofit's finances and decision making. We will address how to connect the importance of fiduciary responsibility, your business model and internal controls with governance. And what areas you can focus on to ensure that this is working properly. A board is full of resources and should be active in assisting the organization in making both financial and programmatic decisions. Making one without the other can lead to disaster or, at minimum, an uninformed decision. This webinar will dive into concepts and solutions to aid in bringing these two key players together.
